I have had the pleasure of working with Clark for a brief time we were in the same unit when he retired. He was a dedicated employee and cared about his work and team members. May God continue to bless his family with the strength to carry on. May peace be with you all.

Aaron, Michelle, Heather, and Woitko Family,
I am so sorry to hear about Clark. I wish there was something I could say or do to make you all feel better. Please know, that you are all in my prayers. His spirit lives within each of you. Thus, he never does truly leave us. As always, the Woitko’s have an open invitation in San Diego. I miss you all more than you will ever know. Long live rock ‘n roll, long live Iggy Pop (I’m jealous), and long live Clark…in the eyes of his children, grandchildren, and loved ones.

First I want to say how deeply sorry I am for your loss. While I certainly remember Clark from my childhood and have memories of him, I can’t say I knew truly who he was as a person. That’s what makes this tribute page so special. The stories written on this page before me, along with the pictures and videos really show who Clark was. I can’t imagine the hurt you all have gone through these past several months, but it sounds like you have made some memories that you will hold onto forever. Hang onto those memories, and reflect on the good times that you had. Celebrate his life and know that he is in a better place. Please if you ever need anything at all, don’t hesitate to ask. We love you guys and would do anything for you,
With love,
Austen and Krysta

To all the Woitkovich clan,
I have known Clark for pretty much my entire life. When I was young he seemed quite intimidating, but I now realize its because he was the strong, silent type of man. When I married Chelle he welcomed me into his family with open arms. I came to know the kind man that he truely was. I saw how he adored his grandsons, and loved spending time with them. He wasnt even that hard on me as I learned the game of sheephead, which i know he loved. I got the opportunity to work on a project with him when our family came to visit and Amy told me she was putting me to work with him on the shed they were building. It was a great bonding experience for me and i will always remember it.
Clark was a good man and will be missed dearly. My thoughts are with the entire family through this difficult time.

What a wonderful tribute to Clark and some very fond memories. The years that we have gotten to know him made us all the better and his ability to force a smile on people will not be forgotten. We were very fortunate that he was a part of our lives and his legacy will continue all the way down to his grandchildren. Go in Peace our dear friend and to all that mourn our love/support.

I will always remember Clark as an easy going dude with a big heart. He always had a smirk that said I might be messing with you, but its all in good fun. I really appreciated the generosity I received when visiting Aaron back in High School and the Thanksgiving I spent with you guys.
I remember the time Aaron, Justin and I went to Wrigley Field and we saw the Clark Gas Station and said, “Hey Doid, is your dad working?”

This website is a beautiful tribute to your Dad. I haven’t stopped praying for all of you. I will never understand why such heartache has to come to such wonderful people. I have known Clark my entire life, but the times I spent around him were when we were so little that it’s hard to remember some of the times, but I sure knew I had fun when I got to come to Appleton to visit or stay the night! I remember his smile. One of the things I remember the most was when I was in Georgia a few years ago and Clark and Amy came over by Heather and Aaron’s and I got to see him for the first time in a long time. I remember him and Jack sitting at the kitchen table working very intently on building some sort of project. I remember his glasses tipped down slightly as he read the instructions and Jack’s concentration, watching him and being ever so patient. It was really heartwarming and really showed that bond between them. You all have some beautiful memories with him and I loved the videos. That is something extremely special. I pray that each day gets a little easier to process and that you continue to share such great stories and memories with everyone as I know that helps me. I know he will watch over you from heaven and watch you and your families grow. Amy, Michelle, Rob, Aaron, Heather and the rest of the Woitkovich family, I’m so sorry for your loss and always have you in my thoughts and prayers…
Love,
Virginia

This is such a nice tribute to Clark. Job well done!! For those of us not knowing Clark on a personal level, this gives us a great snap shot into his family life. I know Clark was a man of dignity and courage from all the conversations that Amy and I shared. Amy, you are an incredible women of strength, determination, and courage in which I admire you for. I pray for you and your family during this time and know that you WILL see Clark in the faces of the Grandkids and family members. Yes, he will be missed but you still have all the wonderful memories in your hearts. Thanks for letting us peak into the life of Clark Patrick Woitkovich.

Amy, Aaron, Michelle and family words can’t express the sadness I feel for your loss. Remember all the good times!! I’ve been friends with Michelle for over 18 years, so there are plenty of great memories!! One of my favorite memories of Clark, is when I drove down to GA with Michelle and Rob to visit a friend and I stayed over at Clark and Amy’s. I had never played Wii before, but Clark wanted to play ping pong against me. I finally gave in and played and I beat him over and over!! I can still hear him complaining!!
Clark you will be missed dearly!

Hello to all in the Woitkovich clan.
I didn’t know Clark very well, but felt like I did, because whenever Amy and I got together, of course we discussed the husbands. Thanks very much to Aaron for putting this together, because it helps us all know him a bit better, and appreciate the fabulous life he led. I’m sure this fine work, this ‘Collection of Clark’ will be a great help and comfort, now and for a long time to come.

Aaron, Chelle, and family,
I am so saddened for your loss. I’ve known your dad for sooo long. There are many shared memories, but I think my favorite was when our young families were at Carpenter Lake together. Michelle, you and Ginny were babes and shared a crib and Aaron was running around with a constant wet, saggy diaper. We couldn’t keep him out of the lake. Your dad and Dean spent alot of the time playing frisbee in the lake. Such fun times. Many times I’d come to visit for an overnight in Appleton and your dad insisted on doing the cooking. He got such pleasure out of that. I’m so glad you were able to take that trip to Portland, what a wonderful memory to have. Know that our thoughts and prayers are with you still. And your dad will always be in your hearts. Love you.

Clark will forever live in the family that remembers and loves him…I will see him in the faces of his son and grandsons when they are rocking out to the Rolling Stones, played full blast throughout my house…I will see him in our family as we gather for a game of Sheepshead….NO TABLE TALK!…I will see him in the studious face of Jack as he builds at the kitchen table…and the battle face of Luke as he gets ready to attack! I will see it in Aaron as he cooks dinner and then adds some insane hot sauce that would make it impossible for me to eat…Clark will live forever in our hearts and minds and Grandpa already gets lots of prayers from his grandsons and hugs sent to heaven.

I work with Amy and only know Clark through her. I really enjoyed going through the photos and videos the family gathered because it lets me see a side of Amy I don’t know. She has access to a great support net and it makes me feel good there are such loving people around her and will help her through this (I knew there were, but being able to see them is awesome). You are a strong family. Everyone at work sends their blessings.

we will all miss an integral part of our family ~ someone to whom we are all still bound in thought and memory because while some things don’t last forever, some do press on in our memories ~ a good song, or a good book, or a good memory ~ one you can take out and unfold in your darkest times, pressing down on the corners and peering in close, knowing you still recognize the person you see there. and clark loved a good song and a good book and his good family…….
and even tho’ families are complex, complicated and messy at times and when everything goes to hell, the people who stand by you, w/o flinching, those people are your family and that is how we will move forward together as a family bound in our own memories of clark….his amy, his children, aaron and michelle, heather and rob and the grandbabies….we will wrap them all in our hearts and our memories of clark because
“when you love someone – you’ll sacrifice
you’d give it everything you got and you won’t think twice
you’d risk it all – no matter what may come
when you love someone
you’ll shoot the moon – put out the sun
when you love someone” bryan adams
we love you all forever and ever, amen…
God bless you, Clark and until we meet again, may God hold you in the palm of His hand.

Absolutely beautiful tribute. You are an amazing family that surrounds and supports each other with the energy of love & joy. You can see it in the videos. I loved the “dance party” in the retirement video. Tears streamed down as I watched it but you could feel the warmth of love which I know never left Clark’s side. We love you all very much. Clark will be dearly missed.

I will always remember when I came to visit Aaron in GA and I was treated like family by both Clark and Amy. I still have my ticket stub from the CNN tour from almost 20 years ago believe it or not. I loved that burrito place he took us to ….that was a kickass burrito for sure but the name escapes me at the moment.
And now for the coup de gras……the hot sauce….I swear my mouth burned for that entire day….pretty sure it was borderline illegal in 27 states but I would gladly suffer through that again to have my friend be able to spend 1 more day with his dad.
Godspeed Clark, tell Karen I said hi and we miss her too
Much love to Aaron and Heather and their boys , Michelle, and Amy.

I am so blessed to have met such a wonderful man. From the moment I met Clark, I knew how compassionate and given he was. He was the calmest, personable and friendliest person, and those attributes were mirrored by his lovely wife, Amy, who I adore. I was so blessed to see Clark love, appreciate and revel in his grandson(s) lives. I am sad for Michelle and Aaron to lose such a wonderful father, and Amy, such a caring husband. I pray strength for my extended family and hope these times are filled with fond memories of a loving father, devoted husband, and an extremely compassionate grandfather. Go in peace Clark, and know your wonderful family wishes you God Speed and healing.
